Being a Category Management Analyst conducts market specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions and influence management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Category Management Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Category Management Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. As the Prospect Management Analyst, you will be a consultant to the fundraising units across the three University of Michigan campuses. Your core responsibility will be the portfolio review process, including preparing documents and conducting portfolio review sessions. You will advise university fundraisers in the optimization of their portfolios and the achievement of their fundraising goals. You will also coordinate and review departmental audits and provide instructional feedback to relevant teams and individuals. You will field and respond to inquiries from members of the development community about prospect management data procedures, policies, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
50% Prospect Management Community Outreach - Consult fundraisers on the optimization of their portfolios through strategic portfolio reviews.
40% Data Management & Presentation - Collect and audit prospect-related data with the highest degree of confidentiality.
10% Administrative and Other - Assist our team and organizational leadership with community-wide strategic initiatives.
