What We Need: We are excited to welcome an experienced and passionate Professional Services Category Manager to our dynamic Strategic Procurement team in Muscatine, Iowa. This pivotal role within HNI's Supply Chain organization offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and impact. The Professional Services Category Manager will actively engage with executive leadership, operational teams, and business units, fostering strong supplier relationships while providing valuable insights into market dynamics, industry trends, and emerging technologies. They will navigate internal requirements with finesse, contributing significantly to our strategic objectives and financial success.
Location: Remote with 30-35% Travel
Responsibilities:- Implement strategic planning tools to address and resolve supplier constraints.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and dispute resolution within the professional services sector.
- Evaluate operational and financial risks within supply chains for professional services.
- Analyze spending patterns for specific categories within professional services.
- Introduce innovative materials, technologies, and processes specific to professional services.
- Minimize supply chain disruption and ensure timely project execution within professional services.
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing, design, and processes within professional services.
- 7-10 years of supply chain experience, preferably in indirect procurement of professional services.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Engineering.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
