JOB SUMMARY
Provides insights and recommendations to optimize new product introductions, distribution, shelving, price and promotional mix by analyzing marketing and customer data. Analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Conducts market specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions and influence management.
RESPONSIBILTIES AND DUTIES

Utilize internal shipment data, IRI consumption data (syndicated, strategic planner, & panel), Customer portal data (consumption & consumer), and other industry sources to identify opportunities.

Create reports to include monthly region, market, and customer trend reporting, distribution grids, new product tracking, velocity reports, plan-o-gram development, and pricing & promotion analysis.

Establish a strong knowledge of the organic and conventional produce/food industry, Pero Family Farms product line, and key customers to assist in strategic business calls/presentations.

Develops training to improve the outside sales team’s fact-based selling skills.

Create promotional analysis tools that can help maximize customer promotions along with the Pero Family Farm’s ROI.

Serve as an active member of the Marketing, Sales and Performance Team to ensure Pero Family Farms business.

Utilizes the newest/best-in-class category management insights.

Helps drive customer’s overall category strategy.

Sales personnel can initiate/drive/optimize DSMP – product distribution (new/current), shelfing (mix & placement), merchandising (feature activity), pricing plan initiatives with customers.

Can implement and execute first class new product launches.

Stay current on industry developments and trends.

Maintain relationships with cross-functional groups and specialists.

Participate in organization career planning/development (POPP).

Proactively assist team members, managers and employees as needed.

Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) to three (3) years of category management or related experience in a Consumer Package Goods (CPG) environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.

Very Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Professional level oral, written and presentation communication skills.

Flexible and collaborative with a proven ability to deliver business results in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Strong project management skills with the ability prioritize multiple tasks to meet the needs of various functional areas
