Job Summary:
The Global IT Category Manager will lead sourcing and supplier management activities as well as define and enforce IT procurement policy worldwide (NORAM, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC) focusing on understanding, optimizing, and directing IT spend and asset utilization. This role will be either virtual within the continental US or based at our Miami Lakes HQ and will be required to attend meetings during non-office hours as needed to support our international operation. The role is one of five global indirect procurement leaders reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement (HoIP) accountable for optimizing spend value and supply performance across the company. The organization rolls into the office of the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing against IT category management plans designed to enable short- and long-term technology, data, and network communications strategies across the Cordis enterprise. These will primarily consist of all forms of application software, IT infrastructure and hosting, outsourcing, data management, end-user computing, and network communications and security services.
- Building and maintaining Cordis stakeholder relationships to report on current IT spend and supplier performance, and staying in the loop on and prepare for upcoming activities that impact IT spend.

Conducting various forms of Cordis IT spend and utilization analysis supported by market data, internal and external benchmarks, and current operating metrics. Developing rationale and credible business cases to support new sourcing and process improvement initiatives.

Proactive leadership and accountability for all committed IT sourcing projects delivering improvements in spend, working capital, and supplier performance. Coordinating with stakeholders on all issue resolution and decision making around changes to suppliers, process, and technology. Communicating and managing deployment of new programs. Following a savings tracking and reporting routine for monitoring impact to targets and escalating risks early.
- Monitoring and managing key critical IT supplier performance through SLAs and quarterly and annual scorecard business reviews.
- Driving contract review and maintenance for all relevant IT suppliers, including monitoring and maintenance of notice periods, charges by the vendors, and changes to services. Direct and perform audits of contracts to ensure compliance to terms, accuracy of records, and adequacy of controls, implementing corrective action as required.

Defining, monitoring, and driving compliance to IT procurement policies and procedures for company users. Coordinating licensing and maintenance requirements with associated outsource agreements.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of IT procurement experience and significant experience managing sourcing, outsourcing, negotiations & contract development. At least 3 years of experience in a management role desired.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, management, economics, finance, operations, engineering, or a related field

Deep working knowledge of the IT industry commercial landscape and prior experience negotiating mid to large enterprise contracts and pricing models. Experience with outsourced enterprise computing environments is desirable.
