Category Manager develops the overall strategy for a product category and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets. Leads a team that provides category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions. Being a Category Manager works closely with sales team to determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competitors, buying habits and planograms of products to promote sales opportunities. Provides effective promotional materials. Additionally, Category Manager may develop special arrangements with vendors to enhance product promotions. Requires a bachelor's degree of marketing. The Senior Category Manager at Toysmith is responsible for managing the business, financial, marketing and line plans for an assigned brand, category or distributed line. They will lead the cross functional team (planning, creative, marketing, operations, and sales) to achieve brand and product category financial objectives and growth with respect to revenue, margins/profitability, and adoption.
This position will also be responsible for identifying white space opportunities to drive sales and achieve targets. Manages product development process from ideation to market under general supervision with ability to exercise professional and experienced discretion.

· 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in a wholesale or retail toy company.

· Experience with Microsoft Applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
