JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the implementation and management of all gaming operations necessary to support the objectives of the Casino and the Tribe. Oversees the operation of all Class II & III gaming departments. Ensures the casino is in compliance with Tribal-State Compact agreements, Tribal ordinances and all Casino Internal Controls, policies and procedures and department procedures. Provides leadership in driving fact-based decision-making across the company, and will be responsible for maximizing operating efficiency of the gaming departments. Interacts extensively with all departments. Serve as the Assistant General Manager in their absence.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field High school diploma or GED certificate, and
- Management and Gaming courses through an accredited university, community college or in-house training course
- Minimum 10 years casino experience including 5 years management experience in Class III gaming operations
- Extensive knowledge of Indian gaming as it relates to table games, keno, sports betting, Class II & III tribal lottery sales operations, surveillance techniques and specific gaming regulations required
- Understanding in the areas of budgeting, financial planning, strategic planning, profitability, productivity and concept development required
- Excellent guest service skills with conflict resolution experience
- Ability to manage and motivate Team Members at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision and possess excellent decision making skills
- Ability to model and promote teamwork within and between departments
- Gaming analytical and supervisor skills, strong gaming technical knowledge and administrative skills
- Ability and willingness to learn to develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans and manage budgets and operational basics of Class III gaming operations
- Experience in training, coaching and mentoring teams
- Proven implementation and execution abilities, and the ability to take ownership of the key decision processes

Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Master's degree in business administration (MBA).
- 10 years of management experience in the casino industry.
- Experience in opening or managing a new gaming operations.
- Experience in developing and implementing gaming related marketing campaigns.
- Strong relationships with key gaming vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Manages all Class II & III gaming departments
- Safeguards company assets located within the Casino
- Monitors operations of Class II & III gaming to ensure compliance with corporate policy and Tribal/State Compact, and takes necessary corrective action
- Responsible for facilitating the guest service standards.
- Attends to any guest disputes that are not resolved by Shift Manager or departmental managers and supervisors
- Work closely with Nisqually Tribal Gaming Agency to ensure Compliance with all Gaming Departments
- Manages Gaming Department team and develops long-range plans and budgets for department
- Assists with investigations on variances, violations and statistical reports and monitors department compliance by developing corrective measures
- Supervise, coordinate and develop statistical data for: gaming budgets, gaming trends/analysis, forecasts, projections and guest profiles
- Develop and execute (revising as needed) operational policies and procedures to achieve profit and volume objectives
- Mentor each gaming department manager in the identification of operational problems and assist them in implementing policies and procedures to resolve them
- Evaluates games reports, staff, and operations to ensure continuity of efficient and effective Class II & III gaming operations
- Attends to regulatory incident reports and audits by ensuring timely responses, development of action plans and implementation of corrective action
- Advises and briefs Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager on day-to-day operations
- Succession planning to meet tribal training priorities by contributing to the development and implementation of tribal training within areas that the position oversees
- Serves as a member of appropriate committees and prepares reports and other support material
- Perform other duties as assigned
