Catering Manager - Casino is responsible for operation and execution of the culinary aspects of events at the casino. Coordinates menus, supervises wait staff, and assists in staff training and approving payroll records. Being a Catering Manager - Casino may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager - Casino supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager - Casino typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Via Lago Restaurant & Catering in Lexington, MA is looking for catering assistants for our corporate catering division to join our team. We are located on 1845 Massachusetts Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. Shifts will vary slightly, but need availability between the hours of 4am-4pm. These will be 8-9 hour shifts, but overtime is also available. Saturday Availability is a plus.
The rate per hour shown includes gratuities. Gratuities average another $7-10 per hour in addition to the hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Delivering Catering Orders
- Making Sandwiches
- Cooking Bread/Dinner Rolls
- Making Dessert Platters
- Bottling Salad Dressing
- Making Fruit Platters
- Making Stationary Appetizers
- Keeping your Station and the Production Room/Set-up Room Clean (And Food Items Labeled and Dated)
- Bring Food Upstairs to the Expediting Area
- Making Set-up Bags
- As Well as Other Various Tasks
- ***Previous Catering Experience a Plus***
- ***Previous Catering Office Experience a plus- As we would like to expand our office help***
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Able to carry 25-50 Pounds
- Able to Walk Up Stairs
- Must be a Team Player and be able to work within a team
- Must have a good attitude
- Can work efficiently and within the time frames given
