  • New York City’s whimsical soft serve ice cream shop is now branching out and looking for a Catering Manager. Catering team members will primarily be participating at different Street Festivals but may also take part in private catering events in between.     Responsibilities:

    • Set up ice cream stations at event venues, including tables, decorations, and serving equipment. After the event, disassemble station and clean up the surrounding area
    • Maintain inventory of ice cream, toppings, and supplies ensuring that they are adequately stocked prior to and throughout the event
    • Collaborate with other staff members, including BOH staff, servers, and cashiers, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service throughout the event
    • Manage customer queues by directing them to available service points, maintaining order, and minimizing wait times
    • Prepare ice cream orders aesthetically, consistently, and efficiently
    • Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of non-prepaid events
    • Process cash and credit card payments from clients for non-prepaid events
    • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner while serving ice cream, answering questions about flavors ,ingredients, allergens, or the company itself
    • Address any issues or complaints from clients promptly and effectively, finding solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, hand hygiene, and sanitation practices
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by regularly cleaning ice cream coolers, ice cream tubs, and other equipment
    • Responsible for renting and picking up the U-haul van
    • Proficient in driving a U-haul or Van comfortably.
    • Responsible for the secure delivery of company equipment and personnel using a U-haul/Van.
    • Demonstrated history of driving safely between destinations.
    • Strong observational skills for identifying suitable parking and avoiding traffic violations.
    • Delegate responsibilities to team members during service ensuring optimal workflow and serving consistent quality products

    Requirements

    • Must be willing to travel to event locations throughout NYC - transportation costs are expensed by company where applicable (eg. Storefront to Event Location; Event Location to Storefront)
    • Weekend Availability
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
    • Drivers License
    • Food Handlers Certification
    • Dedicated to the role with the willingness to commit to weekend availability.
    • The ability to manage a small team and coordinate with supervisors
    • Fluent in English both written and verbal
    • Mental fortitude and the ability to work long hours

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 12 – 26 per week
