    labels.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Sheild Catering Sales Rep is responsible for managing their sales within the organization for Sheild Catering and Sheild Catering White Label Kitchen. They manage sales for all markets, including weddings, life events and private parties, corporate events, and commercial (on-going) accounts that are executed out of the White Label Kitchen. They consistently meet sales and revenue targets and ensure that all sales are within target gross margins at time of sale.

    They ensure a smooth transition for all events from sales to operations and assist with upselling and change orders as needed. They check in with clients throughout the event lifecycle to ensure satisfaction. They work collaboratively with the Service & Event Manager and the Executive Chef to ensure that the menus, supplies and equipment, and service are in line with updated and align with market expectations. They maintain sales documentation in a clean and organized fashion ensuring that the customer vision and items sold are effectively communicated.

    They work with the General Manager to update pricing and maintain all sales platforms, including the website and third-party advertising. They oversee the sales and marketing budget, ensuring top of funnel leads are being moved down the sales funnel effectively. They are a key strategic partner, working with leadership to ensure that market opportunities are recognized and acted upon to achieve the long-term strategic aims of the company.

    This position reports to the General Manager.

    SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    • Deliver profitable, top-line revenue in line with company budgets and objectives
    • Organize daily and weekly plans to meet with new and existing clients to solicit catering business
    • Build and develop strategy to meet and exceed sales revenue objectives
    • Execute strategy to grow all parts of the business at both Sheild catering and White Label Kitchen locations
    • Ability to locate new clients through word of mouth, cold calling business groups as well as other methods such as social media, traditional media, earned media, and lead lists
    • Effective cross functional collaboration with the Service & Events Manager, White Label Kitchen Manager, and the Executive Chef to ensure smooth execution of catering program and support ownership over each part of the process
    • Create a “knowledge base” for the role by documenting processes, actions, and winning strategies
    • Compile and analyze sales figures & communicate insights/findings to team members and management

    REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

    • 2-4 years direct sales experience, catering sales preferred
    • Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or any sales-focused major preferred but not required
    • Very strong interpersonal & communication (written & verbal) skills
    • Energetic, engaging, and positive personality that demonstrates authentic passion for the brand
    • Must be able to professionally present to a broad array of potential customers
    • Ability to ask fact finding discovery questions and probe for additional business both in person as well as via phone calls
    • Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of management and staff
    • High tolerance for ambiguity, and excellent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to maintain composure through high stress and peak business
