Catering Manager jobs in Kennewick, WA
Catering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates catered events for an establishment. Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules catering staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Catering Manager develops and maintains catering accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Catering Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. As a catering company we cannot guarantee hours, we work on event-by-event basis. This would be the ideal position for a student, or anyone looking to make added income. Hours can vary from 5 to 25 hours a week. Must have experience in catering.
Responsibilities

*Preparing for catered events *Setting tables at events *Delivering food to events *Delivering food to tables *Delivering a great customer experience *Help with clean up after events
Qualifications-
*Ability to listen and communicate effectively *Able to multitask efficiently *Strong organizational skills *Flexible schedule *Experience as a Server, Waitstaff or Catering a plus *Food Handlers Card *Must be able to stand for long periods of time *Must be able to lift 50 lbs. *Must have own transportation
