Position: Gourmet Sandwich Artist for GG at Home Niantic

What We Need: We are currently hiring a Gourmet Sandwich Artist to join our team at the GG at Home Cafe in Niantic, Connecticut. At our cafe, we have a deep passion for creating fresh and delicious prepared food. We take pride in making everything from scratch. We are looking for individuals who share our love for food, enjoy providing excellent customer service, work well in a team, and value being part of a vibrant local community.

Requirements

Must be able to handle your own tasks in the kitchen and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Saturdays and Sundays are a must.

Hours- 25-35 hours

Shift- 9:00am - 4:30pm

ServSafe certification a plus. (not required)

Responsibilities

• Prepare gourmet soups, salads, sides, and sandwiches to order
• Cut and prep vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
• Accurately pack, label, and store food items in our refrigerators and pantries
• Assist the chef in Niantic, supporting their vision and culinary preparations
• Properly stock ingredients, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient kitchen
• Follow directions and procedures with precision, showcasing effective time management and organizational skills
• Follow strict nutritional and sanitary regulations, guaranteeing the highest standard of food safety
• Work cohesively with other team members to maintain a positive and harmonious work environment
• Maintain a clean kitchen
