Company Overview:
With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Boston Catering and Events is an established leader in both Drop Off and Full-Service Off-Premise Catering. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our successful catering operation to the next level of excellence.

Position: General Manager
Location: Woburn, MA
Reporting To: Business Owner

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the catering business, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Take accountability for financial performance, meeting sales targets, and controlling operational costs while identifying opportunities for growth.
• Coordinate efforts across sales, culinary, and operations teams to optimize efficiency, morale, and customer service quality.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, staff performance, and equipment maintenance through meticulous attention to detail and regular review processes.
• Review sales proposals and pricing strategies for viability, comprehensiveness, and innovation.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance our social media presence, leveraging staff and client engagement to promote the company effectively.
• Work closely with the culinary team to create and market monthly, seasonal, and holiday menus, ensuring their commercial viability and effective sales strategies.
• Stay abreast of catering and market trends, innovating and adapting to keep the company relevant and competitive.
• Build and nurture relationships with venues and vendors to secure favorable pricing, exceptional service, and dispute resolution.
• Mentor department heads, guiding them towards goal achievement, problem-solving, and positive engagement.
• Demonstrate strong leadership in handling challenges such as health inspections, client disputes, and celebrating successes within the team.

Successful Candidates:

• Possess significant off-premise catering sales experience.
• Are equipped with ideas, experience, and confidence.
• Demonstrate proficiency in financial management, including understanding financial statements and P&L analysis.
