Catering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates catered events for an establishment. Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules catering staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Catering Manager develops and maintains catering accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Catering Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     - Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive wedding revenue growth, ensuring that sales targets are consistently met and exceeded.

    - Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking, prospecting, and building relationships within the wedding industry. Collaborate with marketing efforts to attract potential clients.

    - Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their unique wedding vision, guide them through the booking process, and ensure their needs and expectations are met.

    - Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales process, from initial inquiries to contract negotiation, event planning, and follow-up. Create proposals, manage contracts, and maintain communication throughout.

    - Collaboration: Work closely with our event planning team to create bespoke wedding experiences that exceed client expectations. Ensure seamless execution of weddings, from start to finish. Collaborate with the culinary team to create unique and memorable menus for our clients. Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events.

    - Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that our clients are thrilled with the level of service they receive. Address any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.

    - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and relevant data.
    - Restaurant Support: Spend office time at the restaurant to help be a presence to capture potential walk-in catering business. Answer restaurant phone, direct phone calls and messages to ensure all potential catering leads, large parties and a la carte reservations are processed and communicated with Catering Sales Manager or appropriate Front of the House Manager. Be willing to accept new responsibilities based on the needs of the restaurant's private dining and catering needs.

    Requirements:
    - Proven experience in wedding sales or a related field, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
    - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple weddings and events simultaneously.
    - Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
    - A passion for the wedding industry and a deep understanding of wedding trends and traditions.
    - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
    - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required.
