Social Catering Sales Manager
The Social Catering Sales Manager is designed to be an integral part of the Jimmy’s sales and catering department. The ideal candidate will be organized, follow direction, highly motivated, prompt and professional at all times. Adept at MS Office Suite and a tech-savvy learner who can quickly pick up the essential programs needed for success. An understanding of social media platforms is ideal, but not required. The ability to correspond and communicate professionally, both written and verbally, is a prerequisite as there will be interaction with existing and potential clients on a regular basis.
To that end the Event Sales Assistant reports directly to the Event Sales Director and will assist with the successful execution of sales operations at Jimmy’s in their totality, including but not limited to:
Managing all leads and inquiries for events at Jimmy’s, including communicating pricing, rental options across our multiple spaces and referrals to our other Labrie Group Properties when appropriate.
Develop and grow business through direct sales, marketing and cold calls, as well as attending chamber/networking events
Grow existing accounts and generate new business to exceed budget and maximize revenue and profits
Maintain existing account relationships
In conjunction with the Sales Director, formulate sales and marketing strategies for Jimmy’s
Work closely with the Sales Director to assist in capturing catering business from the social market segment: weddings, rehearsals, bridal/baby showers, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, family reunions, high school reunions, bereavements, proms, etc.
Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to forecast revenue opportunities and create proactive strategies
Establish individual sales plans and goals for social catering events
Create thoughtful and competitive event proposals that meet the client needs while adhering to the goals and standards set for the Jimmy’s sales/catering team.
Detailing and distribution of banquet event orders. Billing and finalization of event checks in TripleSeat and Toast. Ensure all financial information is accurate and up to date.
Create diagrams using SocialTables
Compile sales reports in an accurate and timely manner, maintain accurate and up to date records of all activity/transactions
Participate in local networking organizations, community and industry events, bridal shows or expos while representing Jimmy’s in a professional manner
This position will be an integral part of the future of Jimmy’s and the leadership team as we strive to stand out as a world class venue; acting as a leader in the industry when it comes to service, entertainment and top-notch food and beverage offerings. This position will continue to evolve as Jimmy’s evolves.
