JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for 2 different positions within the company please read both descriptions.

Job Title: Auxiliary Operator

Reports To: The Auxiliary Operator reports to the shift supervisor.

Position Summary: The Auxiliary Operator is responsible for assisting the Line Lead during all phases of product production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The ability to stage and load raw materials while maintaining the integrity of the material, and without interrupting the flow of the raw materials.
• Follow all accepted work methods and comply with all relevant SOPs.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure the machine is running properly and producing quality output.
• While monitoring, record and report conditions of the product and process specifications to the Line Lead or others, in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with all aspects of applicable ISO quality control standards.
• Assist the Line Lead with changeovers and start-ups.
• Assist with Auxiliary work (bagging, drying, grinding, tooling etc.)
• Identify tasks and complete tasks that need attention during down times.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Follow all safety protocols including the use of PPE.

Requirements:

1. Basic math skills equivalent to those of a high school graduate.

2. Ability to obtain LEHVOSS North America in-house forklift operator license.

3. The Machine Operator must be available to work (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) or the second shift (3:00 PM-11:30 PM).

4. Must be able to wear PPE on their face and/or arms for long periods of time.

5. Ability to successfully complete the Machine Operator training within 3 months of hire.

6. Must be willing to relocate or reliably commute to Pawcatuck, CT upon accepting a job offer.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the Machine Operator stands for a total of seven hours during their shift which includes walking up and down stairs. Staging and feeding the extruder requires the Machine Operator to be able to lift up to 65 pounds on a regular basis.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job during the summer months, the employee may be exposed to high temperatures up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

Job Title: Extruder Line Lead

Reports To: The Extruder Line Lead reports to the Shift Supervisor

Position Summary: The Extruder Line Lead is responsible for being the lead on their line. Our Extruder Line Lead is to manage all aspects of the extruder to ensure it is functioning and operating as intended. Our Extruder Line Lead will be providing the Auxiliary Operator guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Guide and facilitate the work of Operator 1
• Extruder Start-up Procedures
• Extruder Setup, Extruder changeovers and Feeder Setups
• Start-up Check List Procedures
• Understanding and ability to complete the Documentation.
• Troubleshooting of the extruder should it be required.
• Understanding of Extruder Downstream equipment and how to troubleshoot.
• Basic Polymer Knowledge
• Online Testing Requirement
• Closing and Restaging a Job.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge and understanding of all the Auxiliary Operator Tasks

2. Basic math skills equivalent to those of a high school graduate.

3. Ability to obtain LEHVOSS North America in-house forklift operator license.

4. The Line Lead must be available to work the first shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)or the second shift (3:00 PM-11:30 PM).

5. Must be able to wear PPE on their face and/or arms for long periods of time.

6. Ability to successfully complete the required training within 3 months of hire.

7. Must be willing to relocate or reliably commute to Pawcatuck, CT upon accepting a job offer.

8. Attention to detail.

Preferred skills and abilities:

1. Experience operating an extruder.

2. Bi-lingual (Spanish & English)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
