Description

West Central Equipment is the John Deere Agriculture and Turf Equipment Dealership in Central and Western Pennsylvania. We sell, service and supply parts for John Deere tractors, skid steers, balers, combines, planters, lawn & garden tractors/mowers, zero-turn mowers, Gator utility vehicles, implements and related equipment. We are seeking a Set-Up Technician who can assemble and service all types of equipment offered for sale at the John Deere dealership. The Set-Up Technician will prepare equipment for delivery to the customer or for demonstration purposes.

Weekend work is rotated among Technicians, Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. No Sunday hours.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assemble and service all types of equipment, Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products, and other merchandise
• Perform pre-delivery inspection of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used by the Set-Up Technician
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follow safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Complete reports and forms required by job assignments
• Use the Work Order system according to company requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in the job
• Ability to read in English and follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, air-conditioning and electrical systems
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Fork lift certification preferred

Qualifications
