Blake Equipment is seeking an experienced Service Technician.

Our ideal candidate would be a heavy equipment diesel mechanic with experience in troubleshooting and repairing well drilling equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot all aspects of customer well drilling equipment
• Diagnostics
• Repair diesel and gas engines
• Repair hydraulic systems
• Repair electrical systems
• Be able to drive heavy equipment
• Work with manufacturers to obtain parts
• Process repair work paperwork for invoicing
• Travel through New England and the east coast to make repairs as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Perform other related duties as needed

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities

• Minimum 2 years experience working on heavy equipment
• Diagnostics
• Documentation
• Hydraulic systems experience
• Electrical systems experience
• Ability to Weld and Fabricate
• CDL License is a plus but not required
• Experience driving large trucks and equipment
• Knowledge of large screw compressors
• Self starter and able to work alone with a strong work ethic
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Able to travel and spend time away from home
• Clean D.O.T.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Preferred)
• hydraulic and/or electrical systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ASE Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Required)
