The Paramount at Somers is seeking Housekeeping and Central Supply Manager
Position Summary: Reports to the Housekeeping Director.
Essential Functions:
1. Participates in and oversees replenishment of all supplies and equipment in all departments, which
includes maintaining proper inventory levels in the stock rooms.
2. Tracks and maintains all spreadsheets for equipment and supplies in inventory and distribution to
the units.
3. Participates in and oversees sterilization /operation of all equipment returned to central.
4. Assists in placing weekly orders through electronic ordering system, while maintaining budget constraints.
5. Receives and checks all incoming shipments against the PO to ensure accuracy.
6. Assists and participates in all monthly/ annual inspections and submits reports to the
Administrator.
7. Collaborate and attend all department meetings and in services.
8. Follows all fire, safety and infection control guidelines.
9. Reports all safety/repair issues to management as they arise.
10. Performing various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages.
11. Supervise the housekeeping staff with the cleanliness of the facility.
12. Issuing and taking inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed
13. Ensure compliance with room readiness guidelines.
14. Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards
of cleanliness are met.
15. Performs all other assignments requested by management
Qualifications: Ability to speak, read, write English.
HS diploma or GED equivalent.
