 Salary Range $18 to $22 depending on experience.

Working in a nursery among the scent of flowers and vibrant foliage is a popular career choice for those who love the outdoors. A successful Nursery Team Leader will:

• Have a broad base of plant knowledge to include recommending appropriate varieties for the assigned location, climate/watering needs and pest control.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service at all times
• Effectively lead all store location associates with responsibility for total location operations in the occasional absence of salaried store management
• Knowledge of the local market, customer base, seasonality opportunities, competitors and other specifics of the local market that may influence the business

Summary Duties and Responsibilities:

A nursery must be kept clean and organized, with special attention to climate conditions. Nursery workers have an acute understanding of plant environment, such as how much or little sunlight a plant needs, and the nursery is maintained as such. The Team Leader is responsible for training and developing his/her Nursery team.
