Central Supply Supervisor supervises employees responsible for either all central supply functions or one specific function such as sterilization, equipment distribution, or linen supply. Assists employees in day-to-day tasks and ensures hospital procedures are followed and standards are met. Being a Central Supply Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Central Supply Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Central Supply Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. One year of experience in central supply or similar role is preferred.
The Central Supply Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring our Nursing Staff had all the necessary medical supplies they need. This role receives and verifies medical supplies coming to the facility; recording information for reordering, stocks and account for medical supplies and billing. Along with supervising Central Supply clerks.
