  • Position Summary

    This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. This position performs all functions assigned to Supply Technician within the Retail Supply Branch, Customer Assistant Section or Class 1 (TISA) Warehouse.

    Job Duties:

    • Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.
    • The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.
    • This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines to include:
    • Assist customers in processing urgent/exceptional data request.
    • Process other transactions into G-Army
    • Review and, analyze, research, and input appropriate transactions open or close document history records in G-Army.
    • Process and correct manager referrals, process cancellation request, report excess of Class VII items to item manager.
    • Verify and make additions, deletions, and changes to the DODAAC (Department of Defense Activity Address Code) file, UIC, Units addresses, and input into G-Army.
    • Process all DODAAC transactions to LOGSA within 8 hrs. Maintain accountable records utilizing the Army Filing System (AFS) be capable of filing and indexing records.
    • Receive TAADS data and distribute to supported customers as required.
    • Manage the Class of Supply items and maintain appropriate documentation to support posting entries.
    • Maintain document register file and voucher register files IAW AR7120-2. CATALOG builds any numbers on requisitions/turn-in not established in G-Army.
    • Edit all requisitions for completeness, format, and accuracy. Know and understand the appropriate codes in AR710-2 that are utilized with request.
    • Assist customers in locating source of supply and availability of items when required to local purchase.
    • Assist in monthly reconciliations of documents with support customers.
    • Assist in managing the Unconfirmed Items List as required.
    • Perform all logistical functions associated with appropriate supply branch and Army Regulations, PWS, and Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Familiarity of the SARSS process is a plus.
    • Receive all incoming correspondence, screen, sort and deliver to appropriate units or sections within 2 hours of receipt.
    • Attend training as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Cleaning surrounding areas and ensuring that the section is kept safe at all times is required.

    Qualifications:

    • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines;
    • an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced;
    • analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines;
    • knowledge of Army Supply Functions.
    • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Position Clearance.
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of supply/logistical experience.
    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
    • Safety shoes are required.
    • Travel No travel required.
