Typically reports to a manager. The Central Supply Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Central Supply Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary
Responsible to monitor the workflow and productivity of the Central Processing staff members. Ensures that patient care products are decontaminated, assembled and sterilized, according to Infection Control and Quality Assurance parameters.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Taking scheduled “On Call” shifts during off hours to maintain process flow in times of high volumes and assist with equipment issues.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one year of related experience and/or training is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- IAHCSMM certification required
Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts; 80hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $20.00 - $24.75 per hour
