The candidate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

• Fully knowledgeable of the daily building functions and program operations. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and staff; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Conveys information on all programs and schedules and as appropriate, refers members to other programs. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
• Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment immediately to immediate supervisor using predetermined reporting method.
• High level of understanding and the ability to operate the various areas of building security and overall building functionality.
• Responsible for the safety of staff, members and guests of the YMCA to assure that all YMCA rules, policies and procedures are understood and followed
• Other tasks may be assigned by Membership Director.

Qualifications:

• Must pass employment background check
• Must arrive for work and be ready to assist customers at the start of each shift
• Clean attire and a positive attitude are required
• Be able to use of computer programs and systems
• Have outstanding customer service
• Represent the YMCA brand both on the property and in the community 
• Be willing to learn about YMCA programs and classes in order to benefit the customer and staff
• Be open to coaching and feedback opportunities for growth

The candidate must also enjoy working in a fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail and be dependable.

Schedule: Shifts available Weekday Mornings 5:00am-8:00am and or Evenings 4:00pm-10:30 pm. Please let us know your availability in your application. 

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $18.00 per hour, Access to facilities to all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
