Ceramics Engineer develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for the operation of the central plant. This role requires the employee to monitor, operate, and maintain the mechanical equipment in different areas of the hotel. They must be able to work independently, with little or no supervision. This person should possess general troubleshooting skills to repair the kitchen, laundry, and HVAC/VTAC/T-SAT equipment. Must be able to replace light switches and outlets, familiar with working on a high voltage and power over ethernet lighting. Must know how to schedule and control space temps in all areas of the hotel through the BMS. Familiar with life safety systems, Fire alarms, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and how to acknowledge and silence these alarms. This person will have some painting skills or be proficient at patching, sanding, painting, and wallpaper skills. Fundamental to good troubleshooting skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. As well as excellent communication skills. This individual may perform maintenance logs and reports, as well as communicate any discrepancies that relate to business operations.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising a team, preferably in the hospitality industry.
3 years experience of hospitality maintenance.
Excellent understanding of engineering/maintenance principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be flexible with schedule, will work weekdays, weekends, am and pm, and holidays.
Must have a reliable means of transportation.
Ability to come in at night or on days off in an emergency.
Experience leading a team of 2-3 maintenance technicians.
Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC/VTAC, pool, computers, and Fire Life Safety is required.
Ability to complete work orders and special projects on time.
Has good, long-term vendor relations.
The ability to process negative feedback and remain professional.
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating.
