Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Sr CNC programmer to join the Eldridge Team. The candidate's primary role would be to provide programming support for fabricated parts on all processing equipment to achieve the most efficient production schedule, plate usage, and production efficiency possible. The successful applicant must utilize existing CNC programming and AutoCAD software to interpret customer-supplied drawings and sketches.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Generate machine language to convert customer supplied piece part documents into finished parts
* Program parts for processing on all equipment: plate cutting (Oxy Fuel, plasma, laser), machining, piece finishing
* Create piece part super nests to improve material utilization
* Adjustments to drawings based on customer need, equipment downtime, etc
* Customer satisfaction management of Quality with a 98% on-time delivery requirement
* Develop proficiency in various machine codes to communicate with a wide range of CNC machine controllers
* Daily compliance with job work instructions
* Identification and implementation of continuous improvements in all work processes
* Learn new technologies and equipment as they become available to the facility
* Point person on new equipment, potential trainer for new operators, contact point with equipment vendors
* Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
* Technical degree required in CNC/CAD programming required
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a programming position
* CAD 2 & 3 D, CNC Machining Center programming experience preferred
* MS Office software skills such as Outlook, Word and Excel
* Root cause analysis skills with corrective action follow-up
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks
* Track record of self-motivated, results-orientated team player, customer focused
