Ceramics Engineer, Sr. develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. *Experience supporting modifications at major utilities or other power industry sites.
*Desired experience in low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage.
*Interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems and the use of power distribution system modeling software.
*Experience with preparation of engineering change packages in accordance with the INPO Standard Design process preferred.
*Familiar with panel design and 3D environment.
*Comfortable coordinating engineering and design efforts, working with a team, and being in front of peers/clients.
Requirements:
*PE license preferred
*Experience with design of electrical power systems in a power plant setting
*Bachelor's in engineering
