Ceramics Engineer, Sr. develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Support dev teams w/performance tuning & troubleshooting issues. Handle day to day Informatica components migration tasks. Scheduling & Monitoring Informatica repository backups. Review of Informatica ETL design docs & working closely w/dev to ensure correct standards are followed. Scheduling jobs through Autosys/Control M for monthly & daily job cycles. INC/Remedy Ticket handling & problem ticket analysis. Creating new repositories from scratch, backup & restore. On Call Support as required during the weekends & off-hrs. Scheduling real time system jobs. Root Cause analysis for ETL job failures/Data issues raised by business. End of Life system verification & upgrades. Perform regression testing & approve the overall upgrade or setup. Mentored & monitored offshore & onsite dev teams w/regular calls on the commonly raised issues & propose permanent fixes.
