Oversee the Quality Engineering Team and Fulfill Engineering Responsibilities Associated with Process and Product Quality Control and Enhancement. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, purchasing personnel, external suppliers, and customers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead or actively participate in projects aimed at enhancing the operation, instrumentation, or control of the entire manufacturing process.
Initiate and supervise cost-reduction and improvement initiatives.
Manage nonconforming materials, administer the quarantine system, and initiate corrective actions. Participate in the Material Review Board.
Provide quality support for EB, PAM, VAR, and Powder products, encompassing tasks such as certification (product release), melt releases, and conversion work orders.
Investigate and address customer quality issues.
Contribute to the internal quality audit program.
Assist in regulatory and external audits.
Initiate and oversee quality control for new manufacturing technologies and inspection processes.
Regularly generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on quality maintenance.
Initiate Management of Change (MOC) and Manufacturing Process Experiments (MPE) for product quality control.
Assist with customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions, including investigations into quality problems.
Support the needs of direct reports.
Serve as a weekend Quality Duty Officer on a rotating basis.
