The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants are responsible for direct patient care, treating a variety of individuals based upon setting, and according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System.

Job Duties:

Practices Occupational Therapy consistent with, and is knowledgeable of, the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Guidelines as well as state laws.

Effective time management skills including ability to meet productivity standards.

Strong communication skills with all customers (patients, vendors, physicians, etc) with positive outcomes

Able to complete all documentation requirements within timelines and with high quality.

Recognizes and properly conveys/addresses situations requiring the expertise/intervention of the Occupational Therapist.

Must show initiative and follow through in accomplishing goals.

Supports and participates in process improvement efforts of the department and health system. 

Strong customer service and teamwork skills with effective use of service recovery methods.

Achieves high quality patient outcomes through continued professional development and close collaboration with Occupational Therapist on patient needs.

Education:

Graduate of an Accredited Program in Occupational Therapy

Associates degree preferred
