Certified EHR Trainer conducts technical training programs for end users of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Determines training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Being a Certified EHR Trainer configures the training environment to ensure end-users can practice using EHR software both inside and outside of the classroom. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. Additionally, Certified EHR Trainer may be responsible for implementing a credentialed trainer program that ensures EHR instructors have the required level of system knowledge to effectively deliver training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Epic/Cerner or similar certification. The Certified EHR Trainer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Summary: Performs in an expanded role in the delivery of health care at JCMH in a selected area of specialization. Performs according to the advanced practice registered nursing standards and functions as defined by the scope of practice/role definition statements for the Certified Nurse Practitioner in Oklahoma. Functions under the direction of their physician supervisor. The physician is responsible for managing the health care of all patients. Health care services delivered by the Nurse Practitioner is an integrated practice with the physician(s) and must be within the scope of each practitioners professional license as defined by state law.
