Certified EHR Trainer conducts technical training programs for end users of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Determines training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Being a Certified EHR Trainer configures the training environment to ensure end-users can practice using EHR software both inside and outside of the classroom. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. Additionally, Certified EHR Trainer may be responsible for implementing a credentialed trainer program that ensures EHR instructors have the required level of system knowledge to effectively deliver training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Epic/Cerner or similar certification. The Certified EHR Trainer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, efficiently prioritizing and completing all responsibilities within the IS Department according to established Standard Operating Procedures.

    Data Management and Reporting:
    • Utilizes various methods to collect and communicate data to other departments within the organization, as required on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

    Data Security:

    Information System Management:
    • Enters, updates, resets, or retrieves employee data using various information systems as needed.
    • Supports and maintains Payer Portals.
    • Manages IS Help Desk tickets.
    • Assists KanTIme (EHR) users with tasks such as password resets, profile setup, reports, and system functionality.

    Problem-Solving and Training:
    • Exhibits a high level of patience, a pleasant demeanor, and strong problem-solving skills.
    • Possesses the ability to educate others on the effective use of various systems.

    Multitasking and Adaptability:
    • Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask effectively, adapting to daily fluctuations and volume surges.

    Position Qualifications:
    • Minimum 3 years experience with EHRs.
    • 1-year Home Health HER preferred.

    • Ability to navigate through multiple systems or environments efficiently and accurately.
    • Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills preferred; Basic Excel Skills required.
