Certified EHR Trainer conducts technical training programs for end users of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Determines training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Being a Certified EHR Trainer configures the training environment to ensure end-users can practice using EHR software both inside and outside of the classroom. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. Additionally, Certified EHR Trainer may be responsible for implementing a credentialed trainer program that ensures EHR instructors have the required level of system knowledge to effectively deliver training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Epic/Cerner or similar certification. The Certified EHR Trainer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists is looking to add a full-time, experienced Certified Veterinary Technician Trainer to their team!
    As a Veterinary Technician Trainer, you’ll work closely with the hospital administrator, practice manager and department leads’ to promote an emotionally intelligent work environment, creating a positive work/life balance and invests heavily with team members growth and development.
    Role Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for maintaining a technical staff that adheres to the principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion and Service
    • Responsible for the training and performance of technical staff
    • Provide primary point of contact through which all technical questions, comments,
      concerns and issues can be handled
    • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
    • With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
    • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
    • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
    • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
    • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
    • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
    • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
    Experience & Skills Requirements:
    • Ideally possess an CVT or have 2 years of lead or supervisory experience
    • Required: Experience as a Veterinary Technician (demonstrates advanced proficiency)
    • Must be an excellent leader
    • Must be well organized and able to multi-task effectively
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
    • Broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry
    • Availability to occasionally work uncommon hours, overtime, and on-call for emergencies

    Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $25-35/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
