Certified EHR Trainer jobs in Peoria, IL

Certified EHR Trainer conducts technical training programs for end users of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Determines training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Being a Certified EHR Trainer configures the training environment to ensure end-users can practice using EHR software both inside and outside of the classroom. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. Additionally, Certified EHR Trainer may be responsible for implementing a credentialed trainer program that ensures EHR instructors have the required level of system knowledge to effectively deliver training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Epic/Cerner or similar certification. The Certified EHR Trainer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Must be BOC certified and posses state athletic training licensure, certification or registration.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Applied Knowledge: Athletic trainers must have knowledge of a large range of medical problems. Assessment, evaluation skills and working with other healthcare professionals will be required.
    • Decision-Making Skills: Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines.
    • Attention to Detail: Athletic trainers should be thorough and detailed with injury tracking and documentation.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in high stress/pressure situation when talking to patients, medical professionals, staff and families.
    • Must have strong oral communication skills (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension).
    • Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
