Certified EHR Trainer conducts technical training programs for end users of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Determines training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Being a Certified EHR Trainer configures the training environment to ensure end-users can practice using EHR software both inside and outside of the classroom. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. Additionally, Certified EHR Trainer may be responsible for implementing a credentialed trainer program that ensures EHR instructors have the required level of system knowledge to effectively deliver training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Epic/Cerner or similar certification. SUMMARY: Works cooperatively with other members of SCOI. Assists in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of the physician and/or Manager, Clinical Services by performing the essential functions of the job.
Duties: The essential functions of the position are listed below:
General:
Reports to work as scheduled
Complies with SCOI policies as outlined in the employee handbook
Works cooperatively with others and acts in a way to support the SCOI mission statement.

Clinic:
1. Room patients
2. Gathers required information for compliance per CMS Guidelines.
3. Takes patient history
4. Obtain previous medical records, x-rays, MRIs, reports, etc
5. Enters patient information into the system and has patient exam ready for physician
6. Evaluate patient by talking through patient history and conducting a physical exam and determine if patient needs new x-rays. Orders x rays if needed. Presents the patient case to the Physician.
7. Assist MD with injections and other procedures.
8. Fit and apply braces, splints, taping, etc.
9. Perform EKGs and spirometry when needed.
10. Assist with pre-participation physical exams.
11. Instruct patient in a home exercise program.
12. Answer patient questions.
13. Schedule patient follow-up appointments, MRIs, lab tests, etc.
14. Return patient phone calls and answer patient questions/concerns.
15. Assist with medication refills.
16. Obtain pre-authorization for viscosupplementation.
17. Maintains linen supply, depositing gowns, lab coats and shorts in designated hampers for pick up and cleaning.
18. Enters patient prescriptions into SRS as authorized by physician and as per protocol. Note: Cannot sign physician name to any documents or prescriptions.
19. Performs concussion assessments of patients being evaluated for concussion. May include computerized neuropsych testing including ImPACT or Sport Gait.
20. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Procedures:
Assist with ultrasound evaluations and ultrasound guided procedures
Input patient info into U/S machine.
Label U/S images
Prep and position patient and equipment.
Assist with ultrasound guided arthrograms.
Assist with PRP and stem cell procedures
Assist with bone marrow aspiration
Perform centrifuge and separation/preparation lab procedures for Regenexx PRP and BMAC.
Schedule procedures and provide patients with pre and post procedure care and instructions.
Research:
Participate in MD research projects.
Eval patients for inclusion/exclusion criteria
Assist patients with completing questionnaires.
Examine, measure and record patient physical findings
Assist in writing and publication.
