Certified Medication Technician administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Administers medications using proper dosage, route, timing, and techniques. Being a Certified Medication Technician verifies the identity of the patient receiving medication. Records the name of the drug, the dosage, the time of administration, and any other relevant information on specified forms or records. Additionally, Certified Medication Technician takes vital signs and observes patient to detect response to medication. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager.     A Day in the Life:

    As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by positively supporting our pharmacy teams. Communicating with other health care providers, reviewing patient records, provide immunizations and filling medication orders while following HIPPA guidelines, ensures we can meet our patient's needs. You provide courteous customer service and assist the Pharmacist on duty in maintaining the clean and orderly appearance of the pharmacy area, prioritizing work, and processing prescription orders in compliance with Federal and State laws and company policies and procedures.
