Certified Medication Technician administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Administers medications using proper dosage, route, timing, and techniques. Being a Certified Medication Technician verifies the identity of the patient receiving medication. Records the name of the drug, the dosage, the time of administration, and any other relevant information on specified forms or records. Additionally, Certified Medication Technician takes vital signs and observes patient to detect response to medication. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Role: Care aides are a key part of the Juniper team. They provide physical support to help residents stay engaged, safe, and independent.
Responsibilities:
Assist with medication administration and documentation for residents in a senior living setting.Assist residents as needed with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, hair care, shaving, continence management, securing transportation, making and keeping appointments, use of the telephone, dining, and attending Juniper programs.Check and monitor vital signs as instructed.Effectively communicate with other members of the team, residents, and families.Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:High school or equivalent (Required) Medication Tech Certification (Required)
