Certified Nurse Anesthetist prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures. Informs physician of patient's condition during anesthesia. Being a Certified Nurse Anesthetist performs pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Certified Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager. Certified Nurse Anesthetist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Qualifications
- Must have current Nurse Assistant Certification in the State of Louisiana
- Must be in good standing on the Nursing Assistant Registry in the State of Louisiana and the Nurse Aide Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to complete assignments while having constant interruptions.
