Certified Nurse Anesthetist prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures. Informs physician of patient's condition during anesthesia. Being a Certified Nurse Anesthetist performs pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Certified Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager. Certified Nurse Anesthetist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Job Description:
CRNA The CRNA practices according to his/her expertise, Oregon State statutes/regulations and the health district's policies. This includes administering anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws SKILLS AND ABILITIES Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges EXPERIENCE Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges GENERAL INFORMATION
