Certified Nurse Anesthetist prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures. Informs physician of patient's condition during anesthesia. Being a Certified Nurse Anesthetist performs pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Certified Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager. Certified Nurse Anesthetist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     2.    Graduate of approved and certified school of anesthesia.

    3.    Membership in American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)

    4.    Current license as Registered Nurse plus Board certification by AANA

    5.    Current ACLS and PALS Certification
