Job Description

UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife at our  – Burke County Health Department. This candidate would split their time between our health dept and Lenoir, NC

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Licensure Requirements

· Completion of an accredited graduate –level Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) program with a focus in Women’s Health

· Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina or eligible.

· Board certification if required by the Department

Professional Experience Requirements:

· At least 3years as a Women’s Health APP is needed

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

· Demonstrated clinical competency.

• Must feel comfortable with obstetrics and gynecological care. 

· Preventive Care

· Management of Acute and Chronic health issues

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.

· Effective interaction and care of patients

· Documentation of medical records for accurate billing
