Certified Nurse Midwife provides professional care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. Assists patients in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. Being a Certified Nurse Midwife ensures safety and health of mother and child and identifies need for additional care. Works in conjunction with a practicing physician. Additionally, Certified Nurse Midwife requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Certified as Nurse Midwife. Requires Registered Nurse. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Certified Nurse Midwife's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. North Shore Associates in Gynecology and Obstetrics is expanding and seeking an additional full-time Certified Nurse Midwife!
We are a practice with a long legacy of midwifery care. Our practice currently includes 5.5 CNM’s and five very supportive physicians. We attend births at Evanston North Shore Hospital, and have offices in Glenview and Wilmette, but happily draw clients from a variety of locations and backgrounds.
Schedule: 5 days work week to include 17 hours in the office with Saturdays rotating every 5th or 6th week.
*Some 24 hour call shifts
*6 to 7 calls per month (anything additional will receive additional compensation)
