Responsibilities:

• Prenatal Care:

• Conduct thorough assessments and examinations during prenatal visits.

• Provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, and overall prenatal wellness.

• Monitor the health and progress of both the mother and the developing fetus.

• Labor and Delivery:

• Assist and support mothers during labor and delivery.

• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being throughout the birthing process.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.

• Postpartum Care:

• Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers.

• Conduct postpartum assessments for both the mother and the newborn.

• Offer guidance on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.

• Education and Counseling:

• Educate expectant parents on childbirth options and the birthing process.

• Offer counseling and emotional support to mothers and their families.

• Foster a positive and empowering birth experience for each family.

• Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.

• Document prenatal, labor, and postpartum care provided.

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, nurses, and support staff.

• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews.

  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on midwifery.

• Current certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM).

• Valid midwifery certification.

• Previous work experience as a midwife.

• Strong knowledge of current midwifery practices and standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to provide emotional support and build rapport with patients.

• Demonstrated empathy and understanding for the needs of expectant mothers.

• Commitment to providing patient-centered care.

• Ability to adapt to various birthing scenarios and changing environments.

• Flexibility in working hours, including being on call for deliveries.
