Certified Nurse Midwife provides professional care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. Assists patients in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. Being a Certified Nurse Midwife ensures safety and health of mother and child and identifies need for additional care. Works in conjunction with a practicing physician. Additionally, Certified Nurse Midwife requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Certified as Nurse Midwife. Requires Registered Nurse. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Certified Nurse Midwife's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Job Description:
Perform general, regional and sedation anesthesia for all patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and/or therapeutic procedures.
Job Requirements:
Successful completion of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia. Relevant training and/or clinical experience required.
Minimum of 5 years previous experience as a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) strongly preferred. Regional anesthesia skills required.Current licensure as registered nurse in the State of West Virginia or Temporary Practice Permit; Current certification or Recertification by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications or obtained within six months of employment.
