Certified Nursing Assistant jobs in Greensboro, NC
Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Education
Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on NC State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Requirements
Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff
Must have the ability to read and write.
Must be 18 years of age or older by first day of work.
Physical Demands
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; exerting considerable force frequently, and/or intermediate force constantly to move objects and residents. Reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, visual near acuity, bending, stooping and walking required.
