Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Responsibilities:- Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
- Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
- Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing
Requirements:- Valid Michigan CNA license
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CPR Certificate
- negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- Valid Driver’s License, auto insurance with a reliable vehicle
- Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
- Mandatory CEU’s
- Negative drug screen and motor vehicle background screening
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
