Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Responsibilities- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and care for multiple residents throughout your work day.
- Comprehensive and thorough charting
- Dispense and Record administration of medication
- Vitals, symptom assessment, procedure assistance, monitoring, and all other functions as directed and in accordance within scope of LPN Licensure
- Serve as resource to facility staff
- Gain Trust and Rapport with residents and staff
- Enhance patient/resident experience by delivering personalized care to ensure the utmost in patient satisfaction!
Qualifications- Must have current, valid Louisiana CNA License
- Must have strong communication skills with both patients/residents and facility personnel
- Must be able to pass to Drug and Background Screening
- Must be able to pass CNA competency tests
- Current CPR certification & UPDATED TB Test
- 6-12 months of experience preferred
