Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. DESCRIPTION:
Assists nursing personnel in provision of basic and personal care for residents and necessary unit tasks and functions in compliance with The Nurse Connection policies, and procedures, applicable health care standards and New York State Department of Health.
Qualifications:
Currently holds an active CNA certificate
Knowledge of relevant nursing care
Friendly and professional bedside manner
