Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Delivers quality home health care services to the Agency’s clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist in accordance with physician orders, Agency and industry standards, and federal and state regulations.
Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobilityEngages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary• Observes residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports promptly to a licensed nurse• Completes all forms and documentation such as incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested, and in a timely manner• Prepares and serves meals, assists with eating, not including tube feeding• Makes beds, empties garbage, and tidies rooms daily and as needed
Education and Experience:Current state CNA license in good standing•CPR Certificate• High school diploma or equivalent• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferredValid RN license, valid CPR certificate
