About the role

The Certified Medical Assistant will work in a fast-paced clinical setting supporting the medical team with patient intakes and inquiries, records maintenance and basic patient screenings.

The hours of this position will be Monday to Friday 7 : 00AM-5 : 00PM

Key responsibilities

• Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test;

and reporting patient history summary.

• Assist in injury care
• Takes patient vitals
• Performs phlebotomy service and gives injections.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Enters patient data into EMR and assist NP / Paramedics onsite with Medical Record Keeping & Data Entry

About you

Required Skills and Knowledge

High school diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience

• 2 years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required
• Occupational Medicine experience preferred

Required Qualifications

Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent (TX)

Required Languages

Excellent written and oral English
