Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are currently seeking qualified, team-oriented Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) . Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are responsible for providing assistance to Residents in performing their activities of daily living in a manner conducive to supporting safety, comfort, and personal dignity.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities:
- Assist residents with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing, showers and toileting when necessary
- Respond immediately to calls from patients for assistance or treatment and alert medical staff to pending emergency situations
- Encourage all residents to get exercise and participate in scheduled activities
- Engage in housekeeping tasks such as replacing linens on beds, cleaning patient rooms and removing and replacing trash bags
- Work with dining room personnel to ensure that all residents get the correct meals and that all residents are able to eat
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) skills and requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Valid CNA license - Must be certified in NJ
- Able to communicate clearly in English using written and verbal methods
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong bedside manner
- Ability to work as a valuable part of a team
